The Law of Rhythm
The Law of Rhythm states that all vibrations occur at specific but changeable frequencies, such that the observation of anything is dependent upon its specific phase in cycle, season or pattern. In discussing the Law of Rhythm, we must first re-examine the Laws of
Gender
and
Polarity.
When exploring those laws, we determined that all things contain a balance of opposing characteristics, and exist upon a continuum of presence. We said that the presence of any form (which includes any characteristic of a form) is “non-detectable here, then barely detectable here, then clearly present, then less apparent there, and non-detectable over there.” This continuum of presence is a reflection of the Law of Rhythm.
Energy exists in a cyclic dimension, in that there is no beginning or end to a wave of energy. There is only its rhythm; its highs and lows, and the frequencies and changes in the frequency of each.
Energy extends outward from a point of transmission. Its vibratory consistency is impacted by the strength of the transmission and the resistance it encounters, the distance it travels unfettered, and by the obstacles in its path. It can increase or decrease in frequency or amplitude, but it always cycles back to, and through, it’s point of transmission.
Imagine dropping a tiny pebble into a large pond of water. The energy transferred from the falling pebble extends all at once in every direction forming what appears to us to be circular waves. As we watch the circular waves expand, what point on the wave should we say is the beginning of the wave, and where is the end? There is no beginning or end because the wave exists in every direction in multiple continuous loops.
Now suppose that YOU are the pebble dropped into the pond. As you settle upon the surface and the water clears from your eyes, you fix your gaze upon the horizon and observe the wave moving away from you. You might then rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise and note the changes in the wave at each new position of your gaze. It might seem to you that your first glance fixed upon a starting point of the wave, and that your return to that position fixed an ending point of the wave, until you realize that the wave is still moving and changing. You might also observe that you are bobbing up and down as the cycle of that transmission is finding its way back to you.
What you would actually be observing, in a sense, is the Law of Rhythm acting upon the surface of the water.
Here’s the point, everything that you observe—absolutely everything—you observe in this same fashion.
Since all things are actually waves, your observance, or non-observance, of anything is relative to the point and time upon which you fix your gaze and the stage in development of that which you gaze upon. Everything “exists” in a cycle of rhythm.
In aligning yourself with this law, you must keep in mind at all times that all things come and go, including you. Whatever you are facing can and will change in time. That which has stood for thousands of years will fall. And, in places where there has never been anything, something will stand and over time it will change.
The Law of Rhythm reminds us that ”For all things observed, there is a season.”
