The Law of Action

The Law of Action states that manifestation (making real an ideal) is only possible when focused intent is coupled with action intended to support and accept that which is to be manifested.

You can dream about having millions until the cows come home, it ain’t gonna happen! At least, it won’t happen until you do something to bring it about.

Before it was discovered, who ever thought that you could get diamonds from coal, cement from sand, or butter from milk? And yet, all of these are possible. There is no magic; there is simply a process that must be applied. So to with manifestations, there is no magic, just process.

The same universe that converts electricity in the air into lightning bolts, African sand storms into Caribbean hurricanes, and tiny seeds into mighty oak trees, can change fifteen cents into a dollar, or dust into millions. But, there is a process. You must provide something for the universe to work with.

The law of action requires you to provide supportive action. When you take action in support of your intent, you open avenues of delivery. If you want a million dollars, the bank is not going to make an error in your favor and not catch it. Gold bars are not going to suddenly appear in your closet. But, if you’re a welder, you could be offered partnership in a chain of metal shops. If you teach, you could be offered Chief of Operations for a chain of charter schools.

Do you catch my drift? Now, you can leverage the law of action and facilitate delivery by stepping out of your comfort zone and into some calculated risk . . . if you choose to do so. In other words, you can establish even more avenues of potential delivery.

Let’s say you are hoping for that charter school COO spot. Try researching charter schools. Learn the typical and atypical strategies of funding and marketing such a project. Design a plan for a series of schools, get excited about it.

Now, will you get the COO position? Maybe, much will depend upon how clear you are in your intention. But, by taking action in support of your intent, you open many more doors of potential delivery. If you are conflicted, you may get nothing more than new information.

If you really just want to get “rich”, you may find an opportunity to publish a how-to manual on opening charter schools and get rich that way. You might become a charter school consultant. Even if you think that you really want that COO job, what you may really desire is a position of respect and the authority to determine academic policies. In that case, the universe may deliver a nomination for the local school board.

You still get what you desired. You just didn't clearly understand what you desired.

It is crucial that you do not ignore the fact that thoughts, beliefs and emotions are energies that drive acts, the law of action certainly won’t.

You may think that you want something, but be ignoring the fact that you are focused on only one way to achieve satisfaction. You may be thinking, “Ok the COO position would meet my money, respect and authority criteria, so I want that." But, at the same time you may be feeling that you don’t want to compromise with a board of directors. Or, you don’t want to hire and fire staff, etc.

Because you cannot hide this conflict from your subconscious mind, you cannot hide it from the universe. So, the universe will go about delivering the portions of your intent for which there is no conflict, and that are supported by your actions.

This is why you should strive to know what it is that you are truly seeking. Many people fail to get what they think they want and determine that the process doesn’t work, when in reality they simply failed to sort out their own issues before proceeding.

Before attempting to manifest anything, give some thought to “why” you are seeking that thing, whatever it is. Examine the emotions you have about it. Consider how you will feel if you get it. Consider what will change if you get it. How will you feel about those changes? Consider if what you are seeking is the “only” thing that will bring satisfaction. If there are other options, consider how you feel about the options.

When you have gone through that process, you should have a better understanding of what you really want, and what the universe will likely deliver. Sometimes you will find that you have no label, title or name for what you want. Sometimes it is just a feeling, experience or lifestyle that you desire. And, that is perfectly fine.

Find the words to describe that situation, and intend to manifest that. Use the law of action to support having it. Get excited about it. Talk about it. Write about it. Dream about it. Read about it. Fantasize about it. Do something to move closer to it. Determine that it is your destiny to have it, and that nothing can keep you from it. When obstacles are in your way (and, they often will be), side-step or plow through.

Remember, delivery is about a process. Imagine that there is a maze between you and what you desire.

As long as you continue to move with the intent to get what you are after, the universe will open doors that lead to shortcuts. But, you must have faith and courage. When a new path opens that appears to lead in the direction of your goal, even if it was unexpected, explore it with faith and courage. Once you have aligned with the law of action, assume that the universe is always showing you access to shortcuts.

You don’t have to close all doors behind you. Sometimes you may have to backtrack. But, don’t be afraid to look in new directions, and don’t doubt delivery!

You can have what you want, but don’t wait for it to fall into your lap. You must comply with the law of action.
