The Fulfillment of Existence

All things are one in their unity of source.

I believe that in the great scheme of things, only two things have ever been present, existence (energy) and the absence of existence.

That’s makes sense doesn’t it? Nothing plus nothing equals nothing, right? So, any creator, or Creator, or creative process, must have something to work with, as it seems impossible to bring anything into existence from nonexistence. Therefore, if anything “truly” exists, at any so-called beginning, something must already be there to work with.

For instance, what happens when it is time for fulfillment of payment for your expenses and your pockets are empty? If you are going to satisfy that need, you are going to go gather things already in existence and reconfigure them, right? You‘re going to borrow something, sell something, or spend your time differently . . . somehow you are going to change something! But, you are not going to magically bring forth more money into an empty pocket, are you?

All things are one in their unity of cycles.

I believe that existence occurs in cycles. There is birth, the beginning of a cycle, where a new round of creation/reconfiguration begins. And, there is death, the end of a cycle, where the use, form or function of a thing ends.

In the case of an existing universe, here to, there is a beginning and an end. There is the start of its fulfillment, perhaps a “big bang”, in which the potential for all things in that universe is formed. And there is the end of a universe, its completion, in which all things in existence regroup into one mass that collapses inward and a new cycle; a new “big bang” of expansion, begins.

Each cycle of a universe lasts for billions of years, or what we would call an “eternity”. During such a cycle, one compact centralized source of all energy, the source of all existence, the source of all information and knowledge, the source of all beauty and truth, the source of all power, love and all things possible, the source that I refer to as “God”, disperses in a single, magnificent eruption of potential to be randomly reconfigured in a new round of infinite combinations and possibilities.

That which is configured over the course of an eternity is referred to as a “universe.”

If I must assign a reason for this, although I do not believe one is needed, I would say that this occurs so that this single source of energy/existence, God, can repeatedly experience the fulfillment and splendor of infinite possibilities.

All things are one in their unity of self fulfillment.

For me, this explains the purpose of beauty, truth and love. It is through the appreciation of beauty, truth and love that we can feel fulfilled, satisfied . . . happy. And of course, we, as human beings, have no greater desire than the attainment of happiness. It is our determination to be happy that governs what we do with our lives.

Without happiness; health, wealth, power, purpose and relationships are meaningless. These are only tools we use to gain beauty, truth and love; and through these, fulfillment (happiness).

Each of us seeks a sense of beauty, not only in a pleasing outward appearance, but in the sense of splendor, grace, majesty, and charisma. We all seek some level of greatness or perfection, each according to his or her particular need.

We seek truth, not just in a sense of correctness or reality, but in the sense of fair play or justice, honor, allegiance and courage. We each have an innate sense of what is right, and, to the best of our abilities, we strive to do what is right, because it is right.

We seek love, not just in the sense of care and support, but in the sense of loyalty, faithfulness, trustworthiness and appreciation. There is in all of us a natural desire to seek, feel, share and express love with regard to someone or something other than ourselves.

When we recognize in ourselves the grandeur, honor and appreciation of our being, we are fulfilled and happy.

When we do not feel these things, we feel lost, lacking, needy and sometimes self-loathing.

However, as there is but one source for all possibilities, all possible things exist according to one set of rules or laws. These rules of the source are encoded in every unit of existence, expressed according to the reconfiguration possibilities in a particular universe.

Furthermore, all things possible are endowed with the same essence, the same motivation, and the same preference. ALL THINGS IN EXISTENCE WANT FULFILLMENT OF THEIR FULLEST POTENTIAL.

All things are one in their unity of reconfiguration.

Under this theory, again according to me, there are transmissions of energy (thoughts, words, beliefs, actions, processes, occurrences, disassemblies and reassemblies) that configure in alignment with the laws of the universe (the natural and consistent fulfillment of needs: one set of rules that applies in any eternity, adjusted for the needs of each “new” randomly determined eternity) and there are transmissions that do not.

Transmissions that align with universal law are supported, enhanced and fulfilled. Those that do not are stymied, unsupported and decay.

There is no right or wrong per say, however, there are always consequences of every transmission, every expenditure of energy. And, the consequences of not aligning with universal laws can be severe, resulting in misfortunes of all kinds including injury, illness and death.

What we refer to as “bad things”, like illness, death and disaster are inconsequential to the source of all existence, as existence experiences all things as mere expressions of its own potential. As far as existence is concerned, existence is eternal, nothing ever dies, is harmed or experiences something from which it cannot recover.

It is only we, who see ourselves as fragile, temporary expressions wanting our fullest momentary potential, who assign judgment to what happens. We are pleased by the things that facilitate our potential, and displeased by those that do not. But, in the great scheme of recurring eternities, these things occur in the blink of an eye and matter little.

All existence is configured and reconfigured as needed to fulfill the potential of a particular universe. All configurations have a cycle. When one cycle ends, a process of reconfiguration occurs and a new cycle begins. So-called bad things can occur as the result of karma, but not as “punishment” by the source of existence.

The source of existence makes possible all things that exist, and loves all as expressions of its potential.

However, even as momentary expressions of potential, we are extremely important to the fulfillment of the universe. All living things (plants, insects, animals, viruses, etc.), especially more complex beings, possess some level of consciousness—awareness of its own presence in the midst of many possibilities.

All units of energy possess preconscious potential, the ability to respond to its calling (the directives of the universe). Preconscious energy is the raw material, the building block of the universe. However, preconscious energy configured into life forms, comprise the collective of conscious beings.

Conscious beings, even one celled organisms, are the sensors and intentions (tasting, touching, hearing, seeing, smelling—and thinking) of the universe.

It is through the perceptions of its collective consciousness that the universe understands its potential and accordingly apportions its resources toward fulfillment. This is why we are blessed with the ability to have the experiences of our choosing, so long as we are aligned with the rules of our existence.

Manifestation is the universe fulfilling us, this aspect of its potential. It is through manifestation, our gift from God, that our prayers are answered.

Here’s how the universe taught me about the fulfillment of existence.

Not long ago, I was blessed with a mid-life crisis. Although married with children, having friends, acquaintances, and a large extended family, I found myself in a very dark and lonely space. I was filled with confusion, fear, anger and sadness. I questioned the meaning of everything I had previously believed or achieved, and worse, whether I wished to continue living. There were days when I definitely did not.

Yet, I do call this period a blessing. I faced foreclosure, divorce and financial ruin. I drank heavily, cried easily, and feared waking each day. I lied to, misled and withdrew from all who claimed to care about me. But, all of it, every bit of it, was a blessing.

I had been living a life comprised of images that I wanted others to believe. Images that I myself wanted to believe. I had all the trappings of a great life: education, career, family, a dog, two cars, big house, great neighborhood, annual vacations and so on. But, I was living above my means, doing what I felt compelled to do, to continue what felt like living a lie. I was unfulfilled, doing nothing that brought me passion, nothing that I was proud of, other than raising two exquisite gifts, my children.

I was trapped in the cash game!

I had come to the point where I could no longer pretend, where my fear of being found out no longer mattered. I no longer cared what people thought of me, wanted for me, or expected of me. I no longer cared about the dreams I thought I was pursuing.

I was blessed with a severe, significant, and persistent reality-check. Were it not for thoughts of how it would affect my children, I would have placed my pistol to my temple and ended the suffering. I prayed for a solution. I prayed for hope. I prayed for faith. I prayed for light in my darkness.

Only then, was I revisited with the concepts of universal law, the possibility of manifestations, the salvation made possible through achievement of a higher self, the joy of living authentically and the benefits of seeking my rewards through the free sharing of what is given to me.

These ideas had been revealed to me many times over the course of my life, but it was only here, on my knees and in my darkest hour, that I could actually hear them, understand and heed.

Because all is one, stemming from one source, in never ending reconfigurations of recurring cycles of self-fulfillment, I realized that my despair was not only temporary and of my own making, but was within my control. Light did enter. My faith grew. I saw reason for hope. I found my solution. And, it was quite simple really.

All I had to do was get out of my head, stop obsessing about what I didn’t have and how not having it made me feel. I focused on my gratitude for all that has, and will, come my way, all of the blessings in my life. And, I became determined to share what I am given with others, all of my gifts, not only money and material things, but my time, energy, thoughts and understanding.

The oneness of the universe made me understand that what I give away, I also attract. What I give to the universe, I give to myself. If great despair is possible in my life, then so to is great happiness. If through my own actions I can bring about one, then I can bring about the other.

Focus on the joy felt in giving what it is that you want, and you shall have more of it!

Now, I give friendship and I get it. I give kind words and I get them. I give love and I get it. I give money and I get it. I give wisdom and I get it. I give happiness and I get it. I give truth and I get it. And, all that I give comes back increased.

Separation is an illusion.

The illusion of separation is just a misinterpretation of the gift of contrast. If the infinity of all things possible all appeared to be the same thing, our experience of existence would be without variation. It would lack richness and wonder, and would feel pointless. What would our full potential be if all things seemed the same?

We perceive ourselves as apart from all other things, so that we, so that energy, so that the universe, so that God, can contrast current experience against a background of things already experienced and things not yet experienced. Remember, possibilities are infinite, endless, if there were no contrast, how could one be distinguished from another?

Through contrast, we can construct time and space, progress and setbacks, pain and pleasure, likes and dislikes. What would it matter what exists in the universe if all things had the same significance?

Contrast brings meaning to presence.

Contrast is the mechanism through which existence can be enjoyed.

Our purpose is just to be, to experience, to make choices, to interact, to do things, to discover, to seek our fullest potential according to our own preferences. Live within the laws, and the universe will take care of the rest. It's a short ride, so enjoy it while you can.

And, don’t be fooled long, it’s just an illusion. We are one!
