WHY AM I HERE?

This website is intended to help you learn how to define a “definite purpose”, and to attain that purpose in minimal time, with minimal effort.

When I was struggling with my insurance sales, sentencing advocacy and network marketing ventures, I found myself wasting a great deal of time, money and effort only to reap marginal income and mounting disappointment. I was making money, but I wasn’t happy. I had no definite purpose.

Like many in urban America, I was determined to be successful, believing wholeheartedly in the value of what I was offering, but I was steadfastly focused upon maximum income returns for my efforts. In other words, I had come a long way but I was still heavily vested in the cash game.

In my growing despair, I joined a law of attraction group on a social network site and began conversing with folks about utilizing this particular universal law. The more I participated, the more interested and excited I became. When this group was eventually overrun by business opportunity seekers desperate to make sales, and the dedicated believers stopped showing up, I was disappointed.

But, my interest had been piqued. So, I continued researching, reading and writing on the subject, developing and clarifying my personal take on the laws of the universe.

I began to reshape my thinking, my beliefs and my habits. I wondered if there would be any actual benefit to all of this, and if so, how it would align with what I desired. The more I read, the more I wrote, just for my own benefit. The more I wrote, the more I enjoyed writing. I began to focus less upon the importance of income and more upon the importance of value.

I began to understand that my desire for more money, was really about my desire for more value in living, more freedom to do what I enjoyed doing, without binding my time to income production.

My career in education, counseling, sales and advocacy had always been about service to others. I still wanted to provide something of benefit to others, but, I also wanted more time for travel, exercise, friends and family, conversation, introspection, reading and writing.

I wanted to stop waking to work, rest, eat, sleep, and repeat. I hated that my time was monopolized by a paper chase, and that the paper seemed to go out as quickly, or quicker, than it came in. I felt that I was “making a living” without enjoying my life.

But, as I spent more time studying and analyzing universal law, I began to realize that it was actually possible to make lots of money doing exactly what I enjoy in life. I understand that this seems counterintuitive for most people, but it’s true. You really can do what you want to do and make money.

Generally, we are taught to go to school, study, get good grades, get a “good” job, work hard, save our money and enjoy our years of retirement. Well, what happens if the game changes and you can’t retire when you planned to? What happens if you never reach retirement age?

What happens if you lose that “good” job? What happens if you’re not good at studying, or you have to get a crummy job instead of going to school because bills have to be paid? Any one of these things, and sometimes all of these things can happen, even to people with the best of intentions.

So what then? Are you never to enjoy your life? Maybe, some people never do. But, what I found is that the solution is quite simple.

The solution is to pursue your definite purpose.

Right now, answer this one question. If, right now, you already had all the money you would ever need to do absolutely anything you desired to do, and right now, you had already done absolutely everything you have ever imagined yourself doing, what would you be willing to do with the rest of your life, to give your life meaning, on your terms, when you felt like doing it?

Answer that one question honestly, and you my friend will have determined what is called a “definite purpose.” Your definite purpose is that thing that you could pursue all day everyday, if necessary, and yet it never feels like work, you never think of it as a job. Your definite purpose is that thing you could pursue because you truly enjoy it. It brings meaning and value to your experience of living. It’s what you can pursue with passion and joy and a smile on your face. It’s something that you could talk about anytime, with anyone willing to talk about it.

That, my friend, is what you should be pursuing right now!

You can have a definite purpose with regard to your vocation or career. You can have a definite purpose regarding your residence or living environment, or community. You may have a definite purpose regarding your net worth or charitable giving. You can have still another definite purpose regarding your family or social relations.

All that you need at this point, in order to more enjoy your life, is the courage to pursue your definite purpose; belief that you can achieve it; and willingness to take action everyday to bring it into reality! If you can do these three things, then by aligning yourself with the laws of the universe you can achieve great enjoyment and wealth you never dreamed possible.

To achieve a definite purpose you must visualize what it will look like. You must place yourself into the image in your mind and feel what achieving your definite purpose will feel like. You must see yourself doing what you will do when you achieve it. You must resolve to keep your faith strong and return your focus to success whenever it wanders.

But, most importantly, you must take action. This step is crucial, not because your plan is what will bring success, but because you must be doing things that support your desire and faith in order for your desire and faith to be embedded in your subconscious mind (where transmission to the universe occurs), and you must be taking actions through which the universe can access delivery.

Decide how much money you want, either as net worth or as income monthly or annually. Design a plan by which you can attain that income through pursuit of your definite purpose. Complete one or more action steps needed to progress toward your goal everyday. If you will do these things, act as though it is a forgone conclusion that you WILL have what you desire, and endeavor to raise your consciousness (increase your vibration level), in relatively short order, you will have what you desire.

Just keep in mind that all words, thoughts actions, and emotions are subject to the laws of the universe.

Now, some are going to read these words and say, “Sure, think positive and work my plan . . . I don’t need universal law to do that. And if that were all anyone ever needed, then we all would have what we desire.” If this is what you are thinking, you are missing the point.

People with absolutely no knowledge of universal law attain what they want all the time. This is very true. What is also true, however, is that universal law is at work whether you know it or not. So, people with no knowledge, even people with knowledge and no belief, can still have a definite purpose and utilize the principles of universal law completely unaware that they are doing so.

How often have you looked at successful people and determined that they are not smarter than you, they are not more talented than you, they did not start from a more beneficial position than you, and decided that they must simply be “luckier” than you?

Well, I’ve got news for you, they are not luckier than you either! Whether they knew it or not, they applied the laws of the universe to attain their success. Without conscious alignment with universal law it may take some longer than others, with conscious alignment with universal law it will be quicker, but each of us can have what we desire when we comply with universal law.

Knowing how to work within these laws simply makes things happen quicker, with less effort and more consistency. The more skill you have in operating within this system, the faster and easier you can make things happen. It is that simple!

And, understanding how to do this is what this site is all about.

When we have what some call a “burning desire”, that is (at least for that moment) a definite purpose. We think about it all the time, even when we don’t want to. We are reminded of it everywhere we go, and everywhere we look. We dream about it, and act in ways that support it’s coming. We get excited by the potential of having it, and we anticipate its arrival. That is a definite purpose.

That is when our subconscious mind has taken over and is broadcasting to the universe our intent to have this experience. That is when the universe is responding by rearranging potential everywhere to make way for delivery of this experience. That is the power of a definite purpose!

But, when delivery takes just long enough for us to stop anticipating; just long enough for us to doubt delivery, the momentum stops! The universe finds use for that energy somewhere else where anticipation is greater. The infinite intelligence of the universe does not judge us for our impatience. It simply responds to our decreased attraction for that experience and continues to go about delivery where attraction remains high. It is doing its job to perfection. If we stop wanting it, we don’t get it, simple.

A major problem for many who seek what they desire, is that they don’t really understand what they want, or don’t know how to define what they want. For instance, if I want to be like Oprah Winfrey, and I talk all the time about wanting to be like Oprah, should I be surprised years later when I am complaining that I see articles, images and shows about Oprah everywhere?

Will it be only coincidence when people tell me that I speak like her, or act like her? If my focus has been on “Oprah,” I have been telling the universe to give me more Oprah. If I have wanted to be like her, I have been telling the universe to provide means for me to be similar to her. The universe has been supplying me with all the information I needed to emulate her.

However, if my goal was really to have “Oprah money”, then I should have been focused on having my own millions, right? The universe did not fail me, I failed me.

When I answered the question posed above, as to what is my definite purpose, as a black male raised in New York City’s fast lane; always struggling against the probability of failure (given my starting point, supports and role models); facing the near constant tendency toward self-destruction, which very nearly happened anyway, despite interventions at crucial moments; I determined that my definite purpose was showing those who come from backgrounds like my own, how to get their life on track, get out of the cash game, and have the life that would not only make them happy, but, shine as an example for those who come behind them.

A website extolling the virtues of universal law was my solution. I am reaching those I want to reach, and I am teaching what I want to teach! And, I am not trying to be paid for every ounce of energy I exert.

I write when I feel like it, and when I make the time. Let me say that again, “When I make the time . . .” I set my own hours. I choose what to write about. I am doing something that I am passionate about. I go to sleep with ideas. I wake up with ideas. I jot down ideas throughout the day. I have, or will have, built in opportunities for income, but my focus remains on value.

I am doing what I enjoy doing. The income I produce will continue to come in even if I take off a month or two. And, when I grow tired of writing, if I do, I will still have a viable product in the marketplace that is capable of producing income well into the future. For me, perfection, the universe does not fail.

I had considered building another website for months. I had invested in another “do it on the cheap” hosting company. But, once I declared to the universe how much income I was to make, and how I was going to proceed, I had only to commit to learning how to do this more efficiently than I had in the past, and the universe delivered a company with all the libraries, research and tracking tools I needed, and was researching individually.

Right now, as you are reading this, the universe is making way for my goal attainment.

I have already seen how the changes I have made have brought me what I desired. I defined a definite purpose in several areas of my life and was amazed by my results. My focus in life has changed. My state of mind has changed. My relationships with others have changed. My level of consciousness has changed. I am promoting the unfailing consistency of universal law, and I do so for good reason.

One last Oprah reference, for all the Oprah fans out there, she donates millions of dollars to charities and builds schools in Africa, right? These activities generate zero dollars in income, right? Now, do you really believe that these selfless acts have NO impact on the income she produces?

Pursue your purpose. The income will come!

Perhaps you’ve heard of the law of attraction. Perhaps you have even used it with success. Or, like so many others, perhaps you have had difficulty achieving success with it. Perhaps, you have never heard of it. Either way, IT IS NOT BY CHANCE THAT YOU FOUND THIS SITE!

Here you will find the answers you are seeking. Here, for free, you will learn how to acknowledge and use infinite intelligence, how to properly align yourself with the laws of the universe in order to make real in your life what you hold as ideals in your mind.

If you are skeptical, that’s fine . . . admission is free, so you have nothing to lose. All that is required of you is (1) an open mind; (2) a willingness to try new ways of thinking; and, (3) taking action on your own behalf in accordance with the new motivations that you develop.

If you find that the information presented here is not for you, feel free to leave it where you find it, no hard feelings, no harm done.

Consider for a moment, the worst case scenario. Suppose you reshape yourself according to these principles and are unable to manifest anything. What will have happened? At the very least, you will have learned the discipline and benefit of positive thinking, right?

You will have become more kind and generous. You will have progressed toward a definite purpose, perhaps more than one. You will have become more pleasant, more agreeable, more content, and more confident. Not bad for so called failure, huh?

Now consider the flipside. What if it really works, just as I promise? What will have happened then?

This site is intended for sharing with those, who are willing to receive of my thinking, and that of my readers; and to share of themselves. It is not intended to convert any who would resist the concepts that are being discussed.

Infinite intelligence is simply delivering to you an opportunity to gain what you seek. You must decide for yourself if you will accept it.

If you already believe that you can use universal laws in commanding infinite intelligence, welcome. You are in the right place.

If you are not ready to believe that the laws of the universe can consistently be used to your advantage, that’s fine.

Try exploring this site at a quiet time, in the presence of as few distractions as possible, and see if the information here “rings true” for you. If you are being distracted by your environment, and this is your first introduction to these ideas, perhaps you should bookmark this site and comeback when things are quieter.

If the ideas found here don’t resonate in the stillness of your being as truth (or, at least “enticing”), you can simply delete the bookmark and move on.

On the other hand, if these ideas feel right to you (or, at least “inviting”), stay for awhile. You will come to understand that you have attracted this site into your life, and as you continue to explore and return to this site, you will understand how and why you did.

HOW IS THE SITE STRUCTURED?

First of all, this site is intended to be an ongoing “work in progress”. There is a blog button on the navigation bar to make it easy to locate the UAS Blog page where visitors can find the most recently posted pages. It is hoped that visitors who enjoy what’s being discussed will subscribe to the RSS feed, or visit frequently to view new material.

We begin with a general introduction to universal law and an understanding of how each law applies in life.

Overtime, there will be articles related to particular laws, and articles about how to define and attain a definite purpose in various areas related to avoiding the traps of the cash game.

Specifically, there will be articles that relate to:

• The development of male role models in the urban community
• Strategies for re-entry to the community after incarceration, and the mitigation of criminal charges
• Presentations of “self”, preservation of health and the development of a “happiness” mindset
• Creation of passive income, asset protection and money management
• The power of autosuggestion and habit
• The development and promotion of healthy relationships in couples, families and the community.

By all means, I intend to encourage visitor participation. So, please examine pages carefully for your opportunity to add to the discussion at hand. There is much that we can learn from one another. Don’t be afraid to express your views. But, please remember that the “umbrella” topic is the application and influence of universal law in everyday life.
